My background after graduating from Royal Holloway BA Hons with a 2:1 in English Literature and a special focus on Irish poets was initially in working in advertising and radio production assistant. In 2004 I attended a UPW seminar with Tony Robbins which set me on a path of understanding peak performance, human psychology and healthy living. I enrolled in the Mastery university program instead of taking up my MA at Trinity in Anglo-Irish poetry. (My mum was not thrilled at the time :) She thought the web was a gimmick!) I knew I didn’t want to be an academic and wanted to be location independent and travel in my 20s.
After that I devoted myself to online marketing and apprenticed for a marketing agency and iconoclastic copywriter who was doing innovative online sales pages in the very early, exciting days of internet marketing- from 2006-2009.
In 2010 I started my own business in coaching and training until 2020.
I organised, marketed and sold many events and retreats in different parts of the World from Las Vegas to Ecuador using the power of the web to create outreach and interest. I spoke abroad and closer to home at conferences and networking groups in the UK, sharing the stage with the likes of Paul Mc Kenna, Dan Bradbury and Jason Vale. I loved and believed in what I was sharing, essentially sales and marketing in an authentic style, creating a lifestyle business, and giving people confidence to embark on their own ‘thing’ through an online business and/or personal brand.
I have always been results driven and whilst my 3 kids (now 13, 11 and 8) were born and growing up I wanted to be around for them and not have to leave them at a nursery, so I applied to the 80/20 rule and marketed myself at the higher end. I had a portable and enjoyable business and was able to help a lot of clients. I sold offers up to a 50k year long ‘all in’ package. I also enjoyed ‘launches’ and achieved a 100k sales day with 52 sales of a 2k program through leveraging ads, online sales funnels, joint venture opportunities and webinars. I am relatively tech savvy and have worked with various CRM systems, mail software and campaign management systems. I try to keep things as simple as possible with all the moving parts and like to learn new software.
I kept a streamlined small team and outsourced complicated tech but kept a close handle on leads and follow up, using a mix of automation and high touch - I prefer to blend traditional and online marketing methods and created conversions through conversations, meetings, public speaking and online sales pages. I wrote these myself aswell as scripted my own videos and presentations from the stage using frameworks I studied and learned from mostly American presenters and sales experts. I continually invested in my education in sales and marketing studying with the likes of Tony Robbins, Marie Forleo, Jeff Walker and Lisa Sasevich.
2021-2024
I stepped back from my working life in the pandemic focus on being mum as my children were very young and I needed to rethink and prioritise them. My son then homeschooled for 2 years and received and autism diagnosis- dealing with the SEN system and EHCP was a masterclass in patience and follow through unlike any I’ve ever known and I would not wish it on anyone! It honestly made business seem easy but grew my resilience!
Happily, as of September 2024 my son started at senior school and is very settled and happy so I now feel ready to recommit myself to the world of work.
From February 2024- January 2025 I worked with a private client who is a 2x mercury award nominee musician in a complete turnaround of his team and acted as CEO for 11 months to fire numerous agencies who were not serving him and recruit him an A- Class team and new management, effectively positioning him and streamlining his systems and supporting excellence. I still play an occasional advisory role to him and potentially will have some involvement with a marketing campaign involving Web 3.0 and tourism in Ireland in 2025 but this takes the form of a few calls here and there and wouldn’t affect my ability to commit to the role at Galion.

I have always thrived in leadership roles, a quality nurtured from my early years as head girl at a military boarding school through to managing my own business for a decade. I pride myself on a collaborative leadership style that empowers team members to leverage their strengths and drive success.
I really enjoy team work and am a ‘people person’. My style is not authoritarian in any way, I can lead and present but I am a collaborative person who enjoys getting results and employing people to their strengths, offering encouragement and listening to feedback, working to overcome challenges and combining talents to enhance enjoyment, impact and success. I would be excited by the opportunity to bring this approach to Galion, especially as I have a longstanding interest in property, customer satisfaction and sustainability.
As an early adopter I’ve been integrating AI into my professional and personal projects with great success and would be looking to continue this development. There are so many ways that it can streamline efficiency with workflows and create a superlative experience for a lead to be captured and throughout the journey to becoming a customer. I'm excited about the opportunity to continue leveraging AI to drive tangible results in sales and marketing while keeping our approach personal and effective.
